I have been devouring the Salacious Players’ Club series and enjoying every book (you can read my reviews for Praise and Eyes on Me), but Give Me More is the one I’ve been looking forward to reading the most. I adore reading books with polyamory but must admit I prefer MMF to MFM. For those of you new to romance, MFM means the men don’t touch, while MMF means they do. For me, the idea of Isabel, Hunter, and Drake exploring a relationship, and of Drake and Hunter having their own relationship arc, is irresistible.

Give Me More by Sara Cate (Salacious Players’ Club Book Three)
Synopsis:
Hunter and Isabel are the epitome of married couple goals, while their best friend, Drake, is a scoundrel with a different woman or man in his bed every night. When they go on a road trip touring sex clubs to bring back new ideas to Salacious, they never expected where it might lead. When Drake and Isabel end up as part of a Shibari demonstration, Hunter can’t get the sight out of his mind. It’s a kink he didn’t know he had. And when he gets something in his head, it won’t leave him alone. But after playing with fire, will their friendship—and Hunter and Isabel’s marriage—ever be the same?
And somewhere in the back of my mind, I know the reason I let her cry out is because I want him to hear it. Not because I’m showing off but because, in some way, I feel like he should be involved too. He always is, where she and I are concerned.
~Hunter
My Review:
I loved Give Me More so much. It’s way angstier than I was expecting, but very satisfying. There was a lot of back and forth about the ménage à trois, which makes sense, but their ongoing indecision still surprised me. Both Isabel and Drake were initially resistant despite their attraction. Isabel wanted to be loyal to her husband, and Drake didn’t want to do anything to compromise his friendship with Hunter. But Hunter is like a dog with a bone—relentless.
I have no doubt Drake isn’t going to make this easy on Hunter. He’s going to do everything he can to trigger my husband into backing out of the deal. It’s like a sexy game of chicken, and I’m in the middle.
~Isabel
Spicy Spice Upon Spice
Give Me More outdoes itself in the spice department. A large component of their road trip is visiting other sex clubs to bring fresh ideas back to the Salacious Players’ Club, and this trio goes all out to experience it all. The first stop involves a Shibari demonstration and my, my, my, it’s exquisite. Another club experience makes use of sensory deprivation. The room is pitch black and only the bouncers can see (through night-vision goggles) to ensure everyone’s safety. At one point they rent a sex dungeon-themed apartment in which one of my favorite scenes takes place. It’s so good!
Bisexual Awakening
Hunter drove me crazy throughout the book. He sets everything in motion and is adamant they (consensually) see it through, but every step of his relationship arc with Drake was one step forward, five steps back. So many times, I wanted to smack Hunter upside the head. But there’s one particular scenario where I was so mad at him. That being said, I understand why this process was so difficult for him. His father was not an easy man to grow up with, and his homophobic rhetoric haunts Hunter from beyond the grave, threatening his happiness.
My blood is pumping loud in my ears as I bathe in his wanton gaze. And I imagine for a moment that it’s not just this experience he wants but me. And when he finally mumbles a gutteral, “Fuck her,” I swear it’s not only Isabel I’m eagerly sinking into.
~Drake
Incredible Relationship Arcs
While I’ve mentioned Hunter and Drake’s relationship arc above, I love how all four (Hunter/Isabel, Isabel/Drake, Drake/Hunter, Isabel/Hunter/Drake) relationship arcs are so well-developed. I loved the glimpse into Isabel and Hunter’s past, and how immediately smitten Hunter was with her. And I love that even though Drake noticed her too, he stepped aside as soon as his best friend showed interest. These three are so intertwined that their relationship together feels natural and inevitable.
Final Thoughts:
The Salacious Players’ Club series is amazing and keeps getting better. Every book so far is unputdownable. I am completely hooked on Hunter, Drake, and Isabel’s relationship and know I will revisit this book again soon. The bonus epilogue is fantastic (available by signing up for Sara Cate’s newsletter). I can’t wait for Maggie and Beau’s story in book four, Mercy (Update: Check out my review for Mercy here).

Sara Cate has an impressive backlist of deliciously steamy contemporary romance novels (and there are more on the way).
