Yuled by the Orcs by Finley Fenn is a spicy and sweet tale perfect for the holidays and cozy winter nights (or days). You’ll want to curl up in your favorite reading spot with a cup of mulled cider or spiced wine, some holiday sweets, and this holiday orc tale.
This novella is part of Fenn’s Orc Sworn series but can be read as a standalone. But just be warned, Fenn does a great job with the world-building and interweaving of characters from her other books, and she’ll make you want to read them all 😉

Synopsis:
Lydia, a widowed washerwoman, becomes involved with an orc seeking her services. She knows she’s not his only lover, but she’s willing to look the other way for the joys he brings. When he invites her to spend Yule at his cabin in the woods, the last thing she expects is to be gifted another orc, wrapped in nothing but a bow.
My Review:
There’s so much to love in this charming tale which starts off as a sweet and steamy slice-of-life holiday adventure and carries through to a heartwarming epilogue. There are choices to be made and self-discovery along the way.
Older Characters
I appreciate variety in my romances, so I applaud Fenn for writing about older characters. Tryg is a silver fox, Lydia is widowed, and Ezog has scars that come from years of battles. Love and passion are timeless emotions, and it’s refreshing to experience them with middle-aged characters.
Beauty Within
Ezog is heavily scarred with a broken fang and crooked teeth. He’s not the sort of lover a person would immediately be drawn to. But it’s clear he means something to Tryg, and so Lydia does her best to be warm and gracious. And as she gets to know Ezog, she sees what Tryg sees—a kind orc with a beautiful soul. Appreciating someone for their inner beauty is such a gorgeous message for the season of giving.
Spicy Spice with a Side of Spice
Lydia isn’t a prude, but she’s never been with more than one lover, and she’s never seen two men together. So, this is all new to her. But she’s open-minded, and Tryg is the softest Dom ever, guiding his lovers through the motions and ensuring everyone is comfortable. When you read a book by Fenn, you know you’re getting A+ spice. There are many heated scenes interspersed with holiday cheer.
Yuled by the Orcs by Finley Fenn (Orc Sworn 7.5)
Final Thoughts:
Yuled by the Orcs is a lovely, fluffy, and spicy treat—perfect for the holidays—and a great addition to the Orc Sworn series. Every time I read one of her books, I want to read more of them.
